Ripple has intensified its support for the CLARITY Act by launching a mobile advertising campaign in Washington, D.C., as lawmakers continue debating cryptocurrency regulation and face a tighter legislative schedule.
The company deployed a truck near the U.S. Capitol featuring large digital displays promoting the bill. The advertisements carry Ripple branding and messages such as “On the road to Clarity,” calling for clear rules for digital assets in the United States.
Ripple said the campaign is aimed at keeping attention focused on the CLARITY Act, which supporters believe would create a clearer regulatory framework for the crypto industry, strengthen consumer protections, and encourage innovation.
Lauren Belive, Ripple’s co-head of public policy and government affairs, also promoted the initiative on social media, saying the company is bringing its message directly to Washington as Congress considers the legislation.
The campaign comes at a critical time for the bill. The Senate’s schedule has become more crowded, leaving fewer legislative days available before lawmakers begin their August recess. This has increased pressure on supporters who want the bill advanced before Congress shifts its attention to other priorities.
In addition to scheduling challenges, lawmakers are also dealing with several competing legislative issues, making the path forward for the CLARITY Act more difficult.
Despite these hurdles, the legislation continues to gain support from parts of the crypto industry and some policymakers who argue that the United States needs clearer digital asset regulations to remain competitive globally.
Meanwhile, discussions continue over how the bill could affect financial crime enforcement. Some law enforcement groups have expressed concerns that certain provisions might make crypto-related investigations more difficult.
However, the U.S. Department of Justice has pushed back against those concerns, stating that the legislation would not reduce the authority of federal investigators or prosecutors. According to the DOJ, the bill would not limit investigations involving crimes such as money laundering, drug trafficking, human smuggling, or terrorism financing connected to digital assets.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has also voiced support for continued progress on crypto legislation, while reiterating that a U.S. central bank digital currency is not being pursued under the current administration.
With Congress facing a compressed calendar and multiple competing priorities, Ripple’s latest campaign reflects the industry’s effort to keep momentum behind the CLARITY Act as lawmakers consider the future of cryptocurrency regulation in the United States.
