Robinhood Chain has seen a strong start, attracting more than $70 million worth of bridged Ether (ETH) within its first week of operation and further strengthening Ethereum’s position as the foundation for tokenized finance.
The new network, which launched on July 1, is built on Arbitrum technology and operates as an Ethereum-compatible layer-2 blockchain. According to data from Token Terminal, the rapid inflow of assets suggests Robinhood Chain could become a significant new source of demand for ETH if adoption continues to grow.
Robinhood introduced the network as an “AI-native” blockchain designed for real-world assets, with ETH serving as the chain’s native gas token. The launch came alongside the company’s expansion of tokenized U.S. stock trading to customers in more than 120 countries, marking another major step in its blockchain strategy.
Early growth figures have been impressive.
Data from DeFiLlama shows that the network’s total value locked (TVL) has already surpassed $106 million, driven largely by institutional deposits into the Morpho lending protocol. At the same time, daily trading volume on Uniswap reached approximately $500 million, making Robinhood Chain one of the busiest blockchain networks shortly after launch.
The increase in bridged ETH has also translated into higher on-chain activity. Token Terminal reported that daily active users climbed to around 194,000, while daily protocol revenue reached roughly $39,000. At that pace, annualized revenue would exceed $14 million.
According to DeFiLlama, the network initially held nearly 47,000 ETH, valued at around $83 million, before total locked value expanded beyond the $100 million mark. On a single day, the chain recorded inflows of more than 31,800 ETH, worth approximately $55 million.
Ethereum continues to play a central role in the network’s activity. Uniswap founder Hayden Adams noted that most transactions on Robinhood Chain are conducted using ETH, which serves as the primary trading pair, the network’s most actively used asset, and the token required to pay transaction fees.
He also pointed out that Robinhood Chain contributes to Ethereum’s ecosystem by burning ETH on the Ethereum mainnet to cover data storage costs.
Institutional participation has been a major driver of the network’s early success. Nearly $90 million of Robinhood Chain’s total locked value is currently held within the Morpho lending platform, where Robinhood Earn offers yields of around 7% on USDG deposits.
One of the largest contributions came from Ethena, which deposited $50 million into a USDG vault managed by Steakhouse Financial in a single transaction.
Trading activity on the network has focused on Wrapped Ether (WETH), memecoins, and tokenized stocks such as Nvidia (NVDA), Apple (AAPL), and Alphabet (GOOG). Robinhood also launched the blockchain with full support for Uniswap’s v2, v3, v4, and UniswapX infrastructure, helping provide liquidity and trading functionality from day one.
The rapid growth highlights increasing demand for tokenized financial products and blockchain-based investing. It also reinforces Ethereum’s dominant position in the tokenized asset sector, where Ethereum and its layer-2 networks currently account for more than half of the global tokenized real-world asset market.
As Robinhood continues to expand its blockchain ecosystem, market observers will be watching closely to see whether the network can maintain its early momentum and become a major hub for tokenized stocks, decentralized finance, and institutional capital.
