The US dollar recorded a noticeable rise against the Iraqi dinar on Sunday morning as trading opened in both Baghdad and the Kurdistan Region.
At Baghdad’s main Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya exchanges, the dollar climbed to 153,500 dinars for every 100 US dollars, compared to 153,150 dinars recorded on Saturday.
In Baghdad’s local currency markets, exchange shops sold 100 dollars for 154,000 dinars, while the buying price stood at 153,000 dinars.
The rise was also seen in Erbil, where exchange shops sold 100 dollars for 153,100 dinars and bought them for 153,000 dinars.
