Iraq’s Ministry of Oil says exports through the Kirkuk-Fishkhabour-Turkey pipeline could resume soon, starting with limited volumes.

The pipeline has a capacity of 1.6 million barrels per day, but officials said the restart will happen in phases, with smaller flows at first to make sure operations run smoothly.

The resumption depends on completing hydrostatic testing, which is being done to check the integrity and readiness of the pipeline before full operations return.

At the same time, Iraq is continuing oil exports by tanker through Syria to the port of Baniyas.

Officials say using both routes is part of a broader plan to keep exports moving and diversify delivery options.

In simple terms, Iraq is preparing to bring back a major export route while keeping alternative channels active, helping support supply stability and giving the country more flexibility.
