The exchange rate of the U.S. dollar recorded a slight decline on Tuesday morning in both Baghdad and Erbil, reflecting modest movement in Iraq’s currency markets.

In Baghdad, trading at the Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya stock exchanges saw the dollar exchange rate fall to 155,500 Iraqi dinars per $100, compared with 155,600 dinars per $100 recorded on Monday.

Meanwhile, rates at local currency exchange shops in Baghdad remained unchanged. The selling price stood at 156,000 dinars per $100, while the buying price was 155,000 dinars per $100.

In the Kurdistan Region’s capital, Erbil, the dollar also weakened slightly. The selling price reached 155,300 dinars per $100, while the buying price was recorded at 155,250 dinars per $100.

The modest decline indicates relative stability in Iraq’s foreign exchange market, with only minor fluctuations observed between official trading platforms and retail currency exchange outlets. Market participants continue to monitor currency movements closely amid ongoing economic and monetary developments in the country.
