Shams Telecom Signs Strategic Collaboration Agreement with GlobalTek to Boost Iraq’s Tech, Telecom, and Energy Sectors
Shams Telecom has signed a strategic collaboration agreement with GlobalTek aimed at accelerating the development of technical, telecommunications, and energy-related services across Iraq.
The agreement sets a broad framework for joint work on integrated solutions, including modern infrastructure projects and clean-energy technologies. Through this partnership, both companies plan to deliver services designed to enhance operational efficiency and meet increasing demand in Iraq’s public and private sectors.
The initiative aligns with Shams Telecom’s long-term strategy to expand its service portfolio and introduce advanced technologies at a time when Iraq’s ICT and energy sectors are rapidly evolving. The Baghdad-based company currently provides IT services, network solutions, and internet access, supported by multiple subsidiaries across the country.
GlobalTek — established in 2021 and also headquartered in Baghdad — focuses on power systems, renewable energy solutions, and communications infrastructure. The company has been working on several projects aimed at supporting Iraq’s broader infrastructure modernization goals.
The new collaboration is expected to widen access to advanced technical and energy services throughout Iraq, supporting the government’s push for more sustainable, efficient, and modernized systems.
