On Sunday, Abdul Samad al-Zarkoushi, a member of the Coordination Framework, confirmed that the Framework’s political forces will hold an important meeting after next Tuesday to discuss several major issues, with the top priority being agreement on the next prime minister.
Speaking to dinaropinions.com, al-Zarkoushi said the meeting will focus on five main topics, stressing that finalizing the name of the prime ministerial candidate is the most important item on the agenda.
He explained that the discussions will also cover the current political stage and the challenges facing the country, especially on the internal, economic, and security fronts. In addition, the meeting will emphasize the need to stick to constitutional deadlines for forming the new government.
Al-Zarkoushi noted that the Framework’s forces agree in principle on putting forward a prime ministerial candidate, adding that the upcoming meeting could help narrow differences in opinions. He said all outcomes remain possible, depending on the discussions.
