The US dollar moved lower against the Iraqi dinar on Wednesday morning, ending the upward trend that had been seen in recent days.
In Baghdad, the dollar’s exchange rate fell at the Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya exchanges, reaching 156,850 dinars for every 100 US dollars. On Tuesday, the rate had remained at 157,250 dinars per 100 dollars.
Currency exchange shops across Baghdad also recorded lower rates. The selling price reached 157,250 dinars per 100 dollars, while the buying price stood at 156,250 dinars.
A similar decline was seen in Erbil, where the selling price dropped to 156,800 dinars per 100 dollars and the buying price reached 156,700 dinars.
The latest figures show a slight strengthening of the Iraqi dinar after several days of dollar gains, as exchange rates continue to fluctuate in local markets.
