Member of Parliament Jassim al-Moussawi said on Tuesday that Parliament extended its current session to complete voting on the federal budget law. He stressed that the budget needs to be approved quickly to address the outstanding needs of citizens.
Al-Moussawi told the Information Agency that the budget is especially important at this stage because many financial and public service commitments are waiting for approval. He added that several projects and other matters remain on hold until the budget law is passed.
He explained that Parliament extended the session to give lawmakers more time to continue discussions, resolve disagreements, and finalize the remaining details.
Al-Moussawi emphasized that Parliament intends to complete voting on all budget provisions during the current session without further delays.
