“Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani chaired a meeting today, Monday, to follow up on the procedures for automating work in customs, during which the detailed plan for implementing the second phase of the automation process was reviewed,” read a statement from his office that dinaropinions.com received.
“The meeting witnessed a discussion of the mechanisms by which the process of transformation and automation is taking place at the border crossings and ports,” he added. “As 11 crossings were completed, and the ports with the highest revenues and the most readiness to shift from paper to electronic transactions were targeted,” he continued.
The current administration is attempting to advance the digital and electronic transformation of all financial transactions.
