Iraq’s crude oil prices ended the week higher, recording strong gains alongside rising global oil markets.
Basra Heavy crude climbed to $79.89 per barrel, up $1.53 on the day. The grade also posted impressive weekly gains of $18.51 per barrel.
Basra Medium crude rose to $83.19 per barrel, also gaining $1.53 during the session. Like Basra Heavy, it recorded weekly gains of $18.51.
In global markets, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude reached $86.84 per barrel, edging up by $0.01. Brent crude, the international benchmark, increased by $0.27 to settle at $94.05 per barrel.
The latest gains reflect continued strength in oil markets, with both Iraqi crude grades benefiting from the broader rally seen across global energy markets during the week.
