Iraq’s Basra crude oil prices moved higher on Wednesday, following a broader rise in global oil markets and gains in several OPEC crude grades.
Basra Heavy crude increased to $65.04 per barrel, up $3.27, while Basra Medium crude rose to $68.34 per barrel, also gaining $3.27.
In the global market, Brent crude reached $91.65 per barrel, up $0.63, and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) climbed to $85.59, gaining $0.67.
The OPEC basket price, however, edged lower and settled at $85.43 per barrel, down $0.43 from the previous session.
The overall rise in oil prices was supported by gains across several OPEC grades. Arab Light crude climbed to $85.09 per barrel, while Kuwait Export crude rose to $82.81 per barrel.
The latest price increases reflect stronger momentum in oil markets, with several major crude grades posting solid gains during the trading session.
