The US dollar moved higher against the Iraqi dinar at the start of trading on Thursday in both Baghdad and Erbil.

According to market data, the dollar was trading at 154,600 dinars per $100 in Baghdad’s Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya exchanges. This marks an increase from Wednesday’s rate of 154,200 dinars per $100.

In local exchange shops across Baghdad, the dollar was being sold for 155,000 dinars per $100 and bought for 154,000 dinars.

Meanwhile, in Erbil, exchange shops offered the dollar at 154,850 dinars per $100 for selling, while the buying rate stood at 154,750 dinars.

The latest figures show a modest rise in the dollar’s value against the dinar, reflecting ongoing movements in Iraq’s currency market.
