The US dollar moved higher against the Iraqi dinar on Monday morning in both Baghdad and Erbil markets.

In Baghdad, the dollar rose at the Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya central exchanges to 153,600 dinars per $100, up from 153,300 dinars recorded on Sunday.

At local exchange shops in the capital, the selling price reached 154,000 dinars per $100, while the buying price stood at 153,000 dinars.

A similar increase was seen in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region. Exchange bureaus there recorded a selling price of 153,350 dinars per $100 and a buying price of 153,250 dinars.

The latest figures show a modest rise in the dollar’s value against the dinar across Iraq’s main currency markets.
