The US dollar started Wednesday a little higher in Iraq, staying close to 153,000 dinars per 100 dollars.
In Baghdad’s Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya currency exchanges, the dollar was trading at 153,300 dinars for every 100 dollars. This was slightly higher than the previous session, when it stood at 153,250 dinars.
At local exchange shops in Baghdad, the dollar was being sold at 153,750 dinars and bought at 152,750 dinars.
In Erbil, the dollar was selling at 153,350 dinars and buying at 153,250 dinars.
The latest figures show a small increase in the dollar’s value as trading opened across Iraq.
