Salar Muhammad Amin, Deputy Chairman of Iraq’s National Investment Commission (NIC), met with Egypt’s Trade Attaché to Iraq, Samir Qurashi, to discuss ways to strengthen economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting was also attended by Haider Hammad, Director General of the Relations and Media Department.
During the discussions, both sides explored ways to make it easier for Egyptian investors to enter the Iraqi market and reviewed measures to simplify visa procedures for Iraqi investors and businesspeople traveling to Egypt.
The participants stressed the importance of supporting the private sector and increasing its role in carrying out investment projects. They also highlighted the need for stronger economic partnerships that can encourage investment opportunities and boost trade and business cooperation between Iraq and Egypt.
