Iraq’s Ministry of Planning has held a meeting to discuss improving and activating the Iraq Development Management System (IDMS), a digital platform designed to track investment projects and government programmes.
The meeting was attended by Basim Dari, Director General of the Sector Planning Directorate, and Tahseen Mahmoud Muthanna, Director General of the Government Investment Programmes Directorate.
Officials discussed the technical challenges affecting the system, including problems related to data entry and the flow of information from ministries, government institutions, and provincial authorities.
The IDMS is an electronic system used by the Ministry of Planning to monitor investment projects and government programmes across Iraq. The platform aims to improve transparency, strengthen accountability, and provide better tracking of project progress, including technical and financial performance in different sectors and provinces.
