The Ministry of Oil declared on Thursday that super and upgraded gasoline will henceforth be paid for electronically rather than with cash.
According to a statement obtained by, Hussein Talib, the Director General of the Petroleum Products Distribution Company, “the Petroleum Derivatives Distribution Company will begin supplying vehicles with “super and upgraded” fuel according to POS electronic payment cards in all governorates.”
The application would incorporate all petroleum products in the upcoming stages, he said, adding that this “will take place starting tomorrow, Friday the 22nd.” March 2024.
