Economic Observatory (ECO Iraq) reported on Saturday that Iraq exported more than 533 million barrels of crude oil during the first nine months of 2026, generating an estimated $37.39 billion in revenue.
According to an official document from the Iraqi State Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) sent to Parliament, Iraq exported 533,459,327 barrels between January and September, with a total estimated value of $37,388,384,828. Of that amount, $33,511,194,387 was deposited into the Central Bank of Iraq’s account.
The observatory also reported that 50.76 million barrels were exported through Turkey’s Ceyhan port from northern Iraq during this period, averaging around 188,000 barrels per day. Exports from the Kurdistan Region totaled 25.1 million barrels, averaging approximately 93,000 barrels per day.
ECO Iraq stressed the need for greater transparency in reporting oil export volumes and revenues to ensure that the quantities shipped match the income received.
