I believe many of you have come across the images circulating about the new money counters at CHASE. Coincidentally, I had an appointment just a few blocks away from my CHASE Private Client branch. I decided to stop by and deposit some cash. To my surprise, I found this machine right behind the teller. When I inquired about it, her face lit up with excitement. Although she wasn’t fully informed about its features, she kindly permitted me to take some pictures. In the bottom right corner, I noticed VND, but there were no listings for IQD or IDR. Once I returned home, I reached out to @grok for more information. He informed me that “The machine is a Giesecke+Devrient (G+D / GD) ProNote 1.5, a compact table-top banknote processing system (money/bill counter and sorter).” It is said to be programmable for any currency.
